A Logistics Executive oversees supply chain operations from acquisition to delivery, managing inventory, warehousing, and transportation to ensure timely and efficient movement of goods. Key responsibilities include supply chain optimization, procurement, data analysis for decision-making, vendor management, and compliance with regulations. Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and negotiation skills are essential, as is proficiency with supply chain software.
Responsibilities
Oversee daily logistics, including coordinating transportation, managing warehouses, and tracking shipments to ensure timely delivery and compliance with regulations.
Develop and implement strategies to improve supply chain efficiency, reduce costs, and resolve any operational issues or discrepancies.
Negotiate contracts and manage relationships with suppliers, carriers, and customers, while also preparing performance reports for management.
Monitor and manage inventory levels in warehouses to ensure proper stock and avoid shortages or surplus.
Actively coordinating and managing the drivers and transportation to ensure timely deliveries without delay through proper planning.
Overseeing the entire supply chain process, from sourcing materials to final delivery.
Managing warehouse operations, product availability, and ensuring goods are stored and dispatched efficiently.
Sourcing necessary goods and services, ensuring timely availability of products.
Ensuring adherence to industry regulations and best practices.
Monitoring and controlling logistics costs to improve profitability.
