As the Fit-out, Joinery Estimator is responsible for accurately estimating the costs associated with joinery and wood factory projects. Responsibilities
- The Estimator is responsible for all estimation work in joinery and fit-out works. Applicants must have foundation knowledge in woods and quantity surveying. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in quantity surveying/engineering/architecture with excellent organizational and problem-solving skills, and the ability to work under pressure Responsible for preparing BOQ and estimate material requirements and choosing the most appropriate materials
- Prepare detailed estimates and bills of quantities for large prestigious high-end interior fit-out, Villas and other joinery projects.
- Conduct estimation and cost control activities to ensure projects stay within budget.
- Manage the entire tender process, including interpreting specifications, pricing tenders, and preparing contract documents.
- Review and interpret drawings, tender documents, quantities, and estimates.
- Develop bid cost estimates and ensure timely submission. Coordinate with the production department to align estimation and production timelines.
- Collaborate with the sales team to prioritize and review the bid calendar, ensuring timely submission of bids.
- Interpreting and checking drawings, tender documents, quantities and estimates.
- Interpreting specifications, price tenders, and preparation of contract documents.
- Maintaining supplier / subcontractor database and consistently seeking new companies to pre-qualify for inclusion on tender list.
- Works with sales to prioritize and periodically review the Bid Calendar to ensure the Company is meeting its obligations to submit timely bids
- Define more cost-efficient alternatives to the proposed scope of project
- Act as a connection between subcontractors, design team (architects, engineers, consultants), and client.
- Responsible for preparing and assembling bids and proposals for various contract types
- Determine required but non-indicated scope through the analysis of site conditions and all contract documents (plans specifications, etc.)
Educational Qualification:
- Minimum bachelors degree holder in any Engineetring field
