Description

A Piling Surveyor Engineer is responsible for setting out, positioning, and monitoring deep foundation piling works, ensuring they are executed precisely according to design plans. This role involves using surveying instruments (Total Stations, GPS) to mark pile locations, monitor verticality, and prepare as-built surveys for structures. 

Key Responsibilities

• Site Surveying: Set out pile positions (bored, driven, or sheet piles) and reference points accurately on-site.


• Monitoring & Accuracy: Check verticality and alignment of piling rigs and piles during installation, ensuring adherence to specifications.


• As-Built Surveys: Record the final, exact location and elevation of piles, producing, or updating as-built drawings.


• Documentation: Maintain daily logs of survey data, identifying any discrepancies, and reporting findings to project engineers.


• Safety & Collaboration: Coordinate with operators and engineers to ensure safe operations and compliance with technical standards. 

Requirements

• Education: Degree in Surveying Engineering, or a related field.


• Technical Skills: Proficiency in using Total Stations, GPS, and CAD software for data interpretation and plotting.


• Experience: Previous experience in specialized piling, shoring, or civil engineering construction.


• Knowledge: Strong understanding of construction drawings and piling techniques.
