Description

Senior Site Piling Engineer oversees foundation installation, ensuring compliance with technical designs, safety regulations, and project schedules. They manage on-site piling operations, coordinate with contractors and consultants, resolve technical issues, and maintain quality control for deep foundations. Typical duties include supervising site teams, reviewing drawings, and managing documentation. 

Key Responsibilities

• Site Supervision: Oversee the day-to-day operation of bored/driven piling, ensuring adherence to design specifications and method statements.


• Technical Compliance: Verify that pile installation aligns with engineering drawings, soil reports, and quality standards.


• Quality & Inspection: Conduct regular inspections of piling rigs, reinforcement cages, and concrete casting.


• Safety & Risk: Enforce strict health and safety (HSE) protocols on-site to minimize accidents.


• Coordination & Reporting: Liaise with project managers, clients, and subcontractors to manage progress, prepare daily reports, and resolve technical queries (RFI/NCR).


• Resource Management: Coordinate materials and labor to ensure project timelines are met. 

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related field.


• Experience: 5+ years in piling, deep foundations, or geotechnical construction, often requiring 8+ years total for senior roles.


• Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of piling techniques (e.g., bored, CFA, driven), geotechnical data, and software like AutoCAD.

Skills: Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills to manage on-site teams.
