Description

A QA/QC Piling Engineer/Inspector ensures that all piling operations—bored, driven, or CFA piles—meet technical specifications, quality plans, and standards (e.g., ISO, IS codes). Key responsibilities include inspecting reinforcement cages, verticality, concrete quality, and pile integrity testing, ensuring compliance with method statements to prevent structural failures. 

Key Responsibilities & Duties

• Inspections: Verify bore logs, soil strata, pile length/depth, reinforcement cage diameter/cover, and concrete slump.


• Documentation: Maintain detailed records of pile installation, concrete volume (actual vs. theoretical), and test results.


• Compliance & Standards: Ensure all works comply with approved statements, Inspection & Test Plans (ITP), and standards.


• Testing: Monitor pile driving analysis (PDA) or pile integrity testing (PIT) for structural soundness.


• Non-Conformance Management: Identify deviations, raise Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), and follow up on corrective actions.


• Coordination: Coordinate with site engineers and consultants for inspection hold points and technical clarifications. 

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering.


• Experience: 2+ years of experience in piling works (bored piles, driven piles, CFA).


• Knowledge: Strong understanding of soil mechanics, concrete technology, and piling codes.


• Skills: Ability to interpret structural drawings, technical specifications, and prepare quality reports.
